Today’s activity

Literature : read about Kalidasa’s story : Sakuntala. Sakuntala is a girl that fell in love with a prince. But poor her the prince has to go back to his castle, Sakuntala kept thinking aobut him, and she forgot to greet a monk. So the monk cursed her. Made the prince forget her except the prince see the ring. Too bad, Sakuntala lost her ring, but, the ring was found by a fisherman after Sakuntalaand the prince’s son was borned. The fisherman give the ring to the prince and at last the prince remembered Sakuntala again. What a sad story..

Religion : we discussed chapter 20, the last chapter in this smester before the final test

Science: the last day we went to the lab, we made some experiments dealing with enzymes, our salivas. So cool

After school : practicing for PORAK : badminton

Space Settlement

My father was one of the first men

Who wined the moon for materials

(How I loved to say their names when I wan young- aluminium, titanium, Iron, silicon) to make gigantic tublar wheels that weightlessly

For ever float revolving gently in the vastness of space

When I wan ten, my father came to live in this space settlement

What joy, what unbridled pride my parents felt to be among those chosen

To be the sole saviors of the human race

Supplying it with solar energy, essential,

As its precious stocks of oil and coal ran out.

My only brother and I, we did not doubt we would be happy here.

We were the chosen children of chosen parents.

Near the low-gravity hub of the wheel

The sapphire swimming pool was our perpetual delight.

Diving we fell slowly, light as winged seeds

Performing effortlessly aerial acrobatics

No earth-bound Olympic Champion could ever rival

From the bottom pushing off we dived upwards, exulting

Emerging like dolphins, frisky as flying fish

For a year or more we never wearied of our aquatic games

Then suddenly without apparent reason, we did grow weary

Each day the same hours of reflected sunlight the same temperature each night.

Each day not even a breeze. And worst of all no sky no clouds

No beastm birdm butterfly. The same dull food each day-

Wheaten bread, maize porridge, fish, rice, vegetables, soya beans.

I began to hate my new friends, even my own brother

We were always quarrelling,

I longed for my old friends, to play the games we played,

Talked about familiar things and happenings.

Longed, longed for my former life.

Exiled for ever, I can never return

Each night now I Dream I am home again.

My opinion : I think the person who write this poem really good about expressing his’ feelings. I found it easy to think about the situation at that time. Too bad that he longed his friends and life on earth

impossibilities living in year 2025

What are the impossibilities living in the year 2025 ??

When you live in 2025 maybe you wont be able to see some endangered animals like Sumatra Tiger, and rhinos. And perhaps you’ll have pets like robot cat and robot dog. It will be interesting. And also you wont be able to see normal bicycle like nowadays’ bike. There will be a better transportation to be use everyday. Like maybe a jet, or using teleport system. Maybe you wont use pencil, pen and paper anymore. You will use computer or netbook every time,, the computer will be in 4D maybe. Not like today. And we don’t need anything that work manually, everything will use high tech system in the future. There wont be any skinny person because every body will be a healthy person in the future. Everyone will eat healthy foods that are recommended by scientist and doctors, all the food that are provided only for human beings.
